Hello, February!
Hello again friends!
Happy Wednesday, and February 1st!
Is it just me or do you also love the feeling of the start of a new month?
To me, it represents a new beginning, a new way to set an intention for the month ahead.
Is it to reserve myself more?
To go more inwards?
Is it to show up differently towards my kids, my peers?
Is it to connect with others?
A physical goal?
To learn a new skill?
To be more creative?
I look forward to the fresh new mindset that I have at the beginning of the month, and the fresh perspective!
To keep myself accountable, I print off a habit tracker at the end of the month and fill it in with some habits that I would like to incorporate into my life for the month. I do this a few days before the next month begins to help me set myself up for success. I find that this helps with tracking and staying consistent with getting closer to my goal.
Some of the habits that I am tracking for this month include:
-no phone for first hour of being awake (still in your subconscious mind, most suggestible during this time frame, phones/screens are overstimulating and can trigger our body into the sympathetic nervous system (fight&flight response)
-vitamins & detox supplements
-yoga or movement of some sort!
-Mantra
-read Connor a book
-work on YIN course
-read 15 pages of my book a day
When I forget to or don't complete a habit for the day, I don't shame myself or negative talk myself into becoming motivated again. I acknowledge, and forgive myself. I provide myself the grace while creating the space where I feel supported unconditionally. This rewiring of my thought process helps motivate me to get back on track with achieving my goals.
Becoming mindful was my intention for entering 2023. I lead each day with this as my main focus to help steer and keep myself on track!
What are some habits that you would like to incorporate in the month of February for yourself?
Please tell me below in the comment section!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
From my heart to yours,
Ash Belanger
